Retrobux is the official currency of RetroStudio, and is used to purchase items and accessories for your avatar. It has similarities to Roblox's actual currency, such as Robux and, the discontinued, Tix currency.

How to earn Retrobux

Retrobux can be earned in a multitude of ways, such as by earning place visits, by redeeming Promo Codes, buying it through the Retrobux store, and through receiving the daily login reward of 10 Retrobux (20 retrobux when owning Retro Builders Club). For every 100 days of the daily streak, 2500 Retrobux is given. The reward also gets higher the farther the daily login streak, reaching a maximum of 20 Retrobux (40 when owning RBC). From November 29 to December 4, 2024, a Black Friday sale added more Retrobux on purchases of the same original prices, with for example the 10 Robux one, which was 100, going up by 25 Robux.

• An easy way to earn Retrobux is by creating a game. Each place visit is equal to 1 Retrobux (2 Retrobux if you own the Retro Builders Club gamepass).
• Another way of earning Retrobux is by creating a gamepass.

Monthly Items

On July 8, 2024, Cris announced the monthly item feature. Every month, a new item is advertised to incentivize the purchase of Retrobux. Users who purchase at least 100 Robux worth of Retrobux are awarded with these items. It seems to have been discontinued as of July 2025. And made a comeback in January 2026.   • 1 dollar would be worth 1000 Retrobux.
  • The formula for calculating Robux into Retrobux is: ${\displaystyle robux\times 10=retrobux}$, vice versa being: ${\displaystyle retrobux\div 10=robux}$
• The "GiveRetrobux" admin panel command can give you an infinite amount of Retrobux, but can only be executed by Retrostudio Developers.
• The image used for Retrobux is inspired by this decal.
• The monthly items are taken from the large library of unused and cancelled ROBLOX hats.
  • Sinister V., Exiled Paladin, Skeletal Soldier are currently the only exceptions to this.
• April 2025 is the first month to not feature any retrobux-exclusive item.
  • It would later be followed by July, August and September 2025.
• In early 2026, the AotM (Antlers of the Month) series was launched, which consists of themed antlers released monthly that can be obtained by purchasing at least 100 robux worth of Retrobux. It's similar to the "CotM" and "BotM" series on Roblox.
