―Spongbob script

The Spongbob script (the misspelling is intentional)(Alias: Spongebob script) is a freemodel made by Bobot (also known as nah124) on 31st July 2024.

It started gaining some notoriety during late august to early September due to many memes regarding it, typically picturing Retrostudio Admins as being the victims of it.

The script itself possesses little to no value, as all it does is simply crash a client with never ending error messages. However, it started gaining popularity when discord user "i_did_dmc_on_keyboard" made a short meme video about cloning it into Retrostudio Admins PlayerGui whenever they join their game. After that, a small series of memes erupted with Retrostudio Admins being harassed by Spongbob script, whether for admin-abusing or otherwise.

Aftermath

Obviously, no one would actually try to stop an admin, abusing their powers with this, as that would only lead to being banned. However, scripts were made to "improve" it further as an example, the same user that made the meme, made a script that first plays a Spongebob laugh sound and shows spongebob image before crashing the game.

In the end, a harmless version of spongebobbing retro admins was created, which only plays a short gif and changes all textures to Spongebob's face when it detects that the joined player is a Retrodev Admin. Rumor says that a version which actually crashes any admin upon joining exists, but no proof has been shown.

Another script was created by Pdn after the creation of the Spongbob script, which used more advanced tech and was overall faster to crash players; however it was and is still not released to the public. This is only half true, the model was never released but you can play a game with it here: 1672223148_83 (Game hasn't been updated in a while and might not work.)

Reception

Mostly positive due to it being a joke model, and both were endorsed by Postal, a Retrodev Admin.
