A backdoor is a malicious RetroStudio script that is usually implemented into free models or games which allows for a person or group of people (which could be in a specific Roblox group) to do almost anything in a RetroStudio game, such as insert models or reload the place of a infected game. The most famous games that are backdoored are usually Simon Says games or "Owner Online" games.

Types of backdoors

There are four types of backdoors, which are:

Untethered

Untethered backdoors can be considered the "holy grail" of every backdoor, where the backdoor needs to be put in once and can last forever until it is removed. However, one of the drawbacks of untethered backdoors is that it is unable to be obfuscated and can be easily removed.

Semi-untethered

Semi-untethered backdoors have been one of the most lately recent type of backdoors, where the backdoor can last forever until the InsertModel ratelimit is reached.

Semi-tethered

Semi-tethered backdoors are related to semi-untethered backdoors, but they need to be manually run using a script executor rather than being inserted automatically.

Tethered

Tethered backdoors are not ment to be used by the general public as these type of backdoors need to be manually inserted using a GUI to insert a model into PlayerGui. These are mostly used by developers before they are released.

More Explanation!

The Thing is. Backdoors are not only in retrostudio, as many other roblox games outside of retrostudio have backdoors (due to kids using free models :/)
